User Agreement
Last updated: April 21, 2026
1. General Provisions
This User Agreement governs the relationship between the Administration of the Meridian information service and any person accessing its materials.
Meridian operates as a news aggregator and information intermediary: the Service curates, comments on, and provides links to publicly available third-party materials, and also publishes original editorial and analytical content.
By using the Service, you unconditionally accept the terms of this Agreement. If you disagree with any provision, you must immediately cease using the Service.
2. Nature of Information
All materials on the Service are provided for informational and reference purposes only. They do not constitute and shall not be construed as professional advice, a recommendation to act, or an offer or advertisement of any goods, services, or securities.
The Administration shall not be liable for any decisions made by a User based on the published information.
Some materials are created or processed using artificial intelligence technologies. Such materials may contain inaccuracies. The editorial team makes reasonable efforts to verify content, but does not guarantee the completeness or absolute accuracy of any published data.
3. Intellectual Property and Third-Party Content
Meridian respects intellectual property rights and operates within the principles of fair use, fair dealing, and the right to quote.
When citing or summarizing third-party materials, the Service attributes the original source and provides an active hyperlink to the original publication. Citations are made for informational, analytical, and educational purposes, limited to the extent justified by such purpose.
The Service does not claim exclusive rights to materials authored by third parties. All rights to such materials remain with their lawful rights holders.
Images used on the Service are either owned by the editorial team, sourced from open repositories distributed under permissive licenses, or used under fair-use citation with proper attribution. The Service does not store or distribute full copies of protected works.
Original Meridian editorial content (headlines, analytical texts, curated selections, AI-generated summaries) is the result of independent creative work and is protected under applicable copyright law.
All trademarks, logos, team names, competition names, organization names, company names, and other third-party identifiers are used solely for reference, news reporting, and identification purposes. Such use does not imply sponsorship, endorsement, partnership, or affiliation with the relevant rights holders.
Images, previews, embedded media, quotations, text fragments, and links are used only to the extent necessary for reporting, commentary, criticism, review, analysis, or illustration of news material. The Service is not intended to replace the original source and, where possible, directs Users to the primary source.
If a rights holder believes that the use of specific material exceeds permissible quotation, fair use, fair dealing, or another lawful basis, they may submit a notice under Section 4.
4. Takedown Policy
If you are a rights holder and believe that material on the Service infringes your exclusive rights, please send a notice to info@peliostudio.com including: (a) a description of the copyrighted work; (b) the exact URL of the page containing the allegedly infringing material; (c) proof or a clear explanation of your rights; (d) your contact information; (e) a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act on their behalf.
The Administration will review reasonably substantiated notices and may remove, replace, edit, disable, or restrict access to disputed material without admission of liability and without prejudice to any legal position.
The Service may preserve basic records of the notice, correspondence, and actions taken for compliance, security, and dispute-resolution purposes.
Unsubstantiated, abusive, automated, or knowingly false notices may be ignored and may result in liability for the claimant under applicable law.
5. External Links and Third-Party Websites
The Service contains hyperlinks to external resources. The Administration does not control and is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, availability, or accuracy of third-party websites.
Users follow external links at their own risk.
6. User-Generated Content
By posting comments or other content on the Service, the User warrants that they hold the necessary rights and that such content does not infringe any third-party rights or applicable laws.
The User grants the Administration a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use the posted content as part of the Service's operations.
The Administration reserves the right to remove any user-generated content without prior notice.
7. Registration and Account
Access to certain features may require authentication. The User is responsible for the security of their credentials.
The Administration may restrict or terminate access in case of a breach of this Agreement.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided on an AS IS and AS AVAILABLE basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
The Administration shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the use of or inability to use the Service.
The aggregate liability of the Administration on any grounds shall in no event exceed the amount actually paid by the User for using the Service, if any.
9. Personal Data and Cookies
Personal data processing is governed by the Privacy Policy.
Cookies are used for authentication, analytics, and personalization. Users may manage cookie settings in their browser.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Administration is registered.
The parties shall make reasonable efforts to resolve disputes through negotiation. If no agreement is reached, the dispute shall be submitted to the competent court.
11. Amendments
The Administration may amend this Agreement at its sole discretion. The current version is published on this page with the effective date.
Continued use of the Service after publication of amendments constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
